About Us
Read MoreA place built by hand.
Adriana built this place.
Not simply design it. Built it.
She designed every room, chose which trees would stay and which ones would go, and worked with the local artisans who created the stained glass you can still see in the windows today.
Some of those pieces were made here before there was a hotel. In the morning, they fill the rooms with color and light.
Adriana lives here too.
So you may see her in the garden, at breakfast, or bringing you your coffee.
Almost every guest asks the same question within the first hour:
“Who created this place?”
Now you know before you arrive.
It started by accident.
Villas Adriana was never planned as a wellness hotel.
It started with a family leaving their previous home, buying a piece of land in the Chiapas jungle, just three kilometers from the ancient Maya city of Palenque, and building a home.
Then came the stained glass workshop.
The rooms came later.
People first came to visit the ruins of Palenque. Then they started staying longer than planned.
And slowly, something unexpected happened.
Guests started asking:
“Can I train here?”
“Is there a place to practice yoga?”
“Can I use the ice bath?”
“Can I join the temazcal?”
So we opened everything.
Today, the things that were once private spaces are part of the experience for everyone staying here.
The stained glass is still in the windows.
Some things stay, even when the reason they were created changes.
What you can do here.
Yoga at sunrise.
Breathwork.
An ice bath.
A traditional Mayan temazcal.
An open gym with real weights.
Jiu-jitsu on the mat, whether you have never trained before or have been practicing for years.
And the most important part:
None of it is extra.
None of it is required.
There is no schedule you have to follow. Nobody will knock on your door at 7:00 in the morning to remind you about yoga.
You can do everything.
Or you can do nothing.
Both are the right choice.
Who is behind Villas Adriana?
Adriana takes care of the property, the design, the spaces, the team, and the standards.
José Luis takes care of the training and retreats.
Before Palenque, he spent more than twenty years underwater, first as a scuba instructor and later as a PADI Course Director.
His job was teaching people how to stay calm in places where panic can become dangerous.
Today, he teaches the same thing on the mat, during breathwork and in the ice bath.
Just on land.
The rest of the family is here too in the kitchen, at reception and in the garden.
There is no corporate office.
There is no owner living in another city.
We are all here.
What we are not.
We are not a resort.
There is no swim-up bar. No entertainment team. No activities designed to keep you busy all day.
We are not luxury in the marble-and-minibar sense either.
The rooms are simple.
The walls are handmade.
And sometimes the jungle sends a gecko into your room to remind you where you are.
We are also not for everyone.
If you are looking for nightlife, parties, and organized entertainment, Palenque has better options, and we will happily tell you where to go.
But if you are looking for space to slow down, train, explore, reconnect, or simply be quiet for a while, you may have found the right place.
What we are.
Twelve rooms.
One family.
A small piece of jungle.
A place three kilometers from Palenque, surrounded by nature and built slowly, by hand.
And a jungle that has been here much longer than any of us.
The numbers matter too.
More than 1,200 reviews across Booking.com, Google, Expedia, and Airbnb.
9 out of 10 on Booking.com.9 out of 10 on Expedia.4.6 out of 5 on Google.4.8 out of 5 on Airbnb.
And about nine out of every ten reservations are from couples.
But there is another number we care about even more.
Some facilitators who have brought a group to Villas Adriana have returned in the same year with another one.
That tells us more than a rating ever could.
Come and see for yourself.
We are just three kilometers from Palenque.
About two hours from Villahermosa Airport.
About fifteen minutes from Palenque Airport.
And we can pick you up from either airport at no extra cost.
We can even pick you up from the overnight bus when it arrives early in the morning.
Because getting here should be easy.
What happens once you arrive is up to you.
You can train.
You can explore.
You can join a yoga or breathwork session.
You can sit by the pool.
You can take an ice bath.
Or you can simply disappear into the jungle for a while.
There is no right way to experience Villas Adriana.
There is only your way.
P.S. The light may wake you at six in the morning.
There are no curtains.
That was Adriana's decision.
And she is not changing it.
